(Okay, so I'm a little late with this but...oh well.)
I'm very well AWARE that my picks are most people's worst dressed picks.
I really don't know why, but I really don't care.
Everyone has their own tastes, and their own reasons,
bla, bla, bla...
so that's fine.
Tomato, Tomatoe...
Let me first start off by saying,
I've been watching the Oscars since I was 8 years old.
The Oscars is to me what the Superbowl is to most people.
I love cinema, I love films.
It will always hold a dear place in my heart.
The stories told, the characters who come alive,
the things we learn about life...
there is so much you can learn from watching
a good, well-written, well-acted, quality film.
I can go on an on about my love for cinema, but I'll spare you. :)
Call me a movie snob if you want, it's part of who I am. :)
Anyways, back to the fashion. :)
I am a fan of the bold and daring look.
Yes, classic style is beautiful, but it can get boring.
Especially if you always go for the classic look.
Salma Hayek's dress is not for everyone,
but she owned it. It looks great on HER,
whereas it might have not looked
good on someone else.
Same goes for Halle Berry's dress.
It suits her very well, and I love the bold design.
Charlize's dress is very simple but the shape, and the front V
makes it a standout.
Many said Catherine Zeta-Jones dress was tacky, overkill, etc etc.
Again....
it's the frickin' Oscars,
she has every right to glow in gold if she wants...
she looks beautiful in it, and I think it suits HER
very well.
Zoe Saldana...
many said there was too much going on....
yes, it has the flowers up top and the ombre on the bottom,
but I think it went together well,
and I believe she pulled it off well!
It's a bold dress but she wore it well!
And last but not least,
Jane Fonda.
She is 75
and looks
GORGEOUS.
I applaud her for wearing that bright yellow gown.
She looks great in it.
I admire these risk-takers because they chose something bold,
instead of something "boring" and "safe".
I applaud them for wanting to be different. :)
My best dressed woman was Jennifer Lawrence. She looked fantastic
