Polka Dots and Ruffles

The funny thing about this outfit is the top. 

It has ruffles and it's very girly.

I'm not a fan of anything too girly and cutesy,

because it doesn't really suit me.

What makes a HUGE difference is the belt.

Belting the top transforms it from 

a cutesy baby doll top,

to an almost regular cool top. (HAHA)

Seriously though, it makes a world of difference.

Without the belt, the top could look like a maternity shirt.

And I'm DONE wearing those.

I know some people are capable of pulling off this look without a belt,

but I'm not one of them. 

No matter what though, because of the ruffles, there is no denying that 

it still looks borderline-cutesy, but not

full blown cutesy.

I will say it again.....

Belts make a world of difference. 

Belts are my best friend!

I cannot say enough good things about belts! 

P.S. I kept the rest of the outfit simple, with very minimal accessories.

The shoes don't really "match" but I felt like wearing them.
